About LCA!
What is Lights, Camera, AFRICA!?
Lights, Camera, AFRICA! is an annual film festival in Lagos celebrating African and independent cinema. Through screenings, conversations, workshops, seminars and talks, LCA! brings audiences, filmmakers and cultural voices together around African storytelling.
When was LCA! created?
Lights, Camera, AFRICA! was created in 2011. It grew out of the film programme of The Life House Lagos.
Why is it called Lights, Camera, AFRICA!?
The name is based on the familiar production phrase “Lights, Camera, Action!” with “Action” changed to “AFRICA!” to centre African stories and creativity.

Where is the festival taking place?
The public festival from 1–3 October takes place at Muson Centre, Lagos, across La Scala and AGIP Hall.
